Winners got white bowls, losers got orange bowls. Take the applicable score for each of the 59 Super Bowls that had been played as of the hunt's release date, shift it "forward" by the letter value given, and then "rewind the clock" and shift it "back" by the number of the Super Bowl ...
e.g. Super Bowl I starts with 35 points for the winning side, the Packers (or, 9 alphabetically), and shifts, via the given "L" to U, and then goes "back" 1 to T.
